Two more leaked NBN documents show that Malcolm Turnbull’s second rate NBN is a sinking ship and is pulling its captain down with it.

We are now up to seven leaks in four months.

Malcolm Turnbull has not pulled the wool over our eyes and Tasmanians know his NBN is a mess.

The cost has doubled, it’s going to take twice as long to rollout, and the cost of fixing the copper that makes Malcolm Turnbull’s second rate NBN work has blown out by more than 1,000 per cent.

But it gets worse - whilst neighbouring areas of Launceston will get fibre to the home, places like Hadspen, Bridport and Legana will be stuck with second rate copper to the home, and Howden won’t get it at all.

Furthermore, I’ve spoken to people who have said the NBN is not working properly in Queenstown, St Helens and Tinderbox.

Almost three years ago Malcolm Turnbull promised that his second rate NBN would reach every home in Tasmania by the end of this year.

But Malcolm Turnbull is all talk, the timeframe has more than doubled and we will be lucky to have it by the end of the decade.

If Malcolm Turnbull had any credibility, he would admit he got it wrong, cancel the rollout of his second rate copper NBN and replace it with fibre.

One thing is for sure, there has never been a more exciting time to have a poor and inefficient NBN connection with slow internet speeds.
