The Australian Space Agency will lead the Australian engagement in global space research and the space industry.
Madeleine Ogilvie MP, Tasmanian Labor member for Denison and shadow Minister for Science Innovation and the Digital Economy has today put Tasmania on the national radar for inclusion in the Australian Space Agency development process.
Ms Ogilvie has called for a truly national approach to developing our Australian Space industry plan.

The establishment of a Space Agency Tasmania leadership group would assist to identify capabilities and leverage opportunities.
It is in It is in Australia’s national interest to build our own capabilities in these areas and Tasmania is well placed to have a strategic role.
