I live in Launceston, Tasmania and am passionate about my community. I want everyone in Tasmania to have the opportunity to have a great education, find work and enjoy everything my home State has to offer.
I have been a strong Labor supporter my entire life and a proud member of this great party for as long as I can remember. I have represented the people of Tasmania in the Australian Senate since 2005.
In my current role as Shadow Assistant Minister for Ageing I work closely with the Shadow Minister for Ageing, Julie Collins to shape Labor's vision for aged care, and to stand up for older Australians.
I am fighting to create opportunities and fairness for all Tasmanians - ensuring that even the smallest of voices are heard.
