TURNBULL “TOO BUSY” TO DELIVER ECONOMIC PLAN

In Senate Question Time today Senator Brandis said that the Prime Minister was too busy with ‘other things’ to outline his economic plan.

“Given that Tony Abbott has produced 4000 words on his economic vision for Australia and Mr Turnbull has to date produced none – when will Mr Turnbull advise his backbench of his economic plan?”

Senator Brandis’ short smug response leaves little to desire for the economic direction of Australia.

“I think Mr Turnbull is busy with other things…”

Senator Polley said that it’s time for the Turnbull Government to tell us what their plan for the economy is.

“Australians deserve to know what their Government’s plan is. Secrecy and arrogance were the hallmarks of the Abbott Government and the same can be said for the Turnbull Government,” Senator Polley said.

“Today’s performance by Senator Brandis highlights the level of arrogance of the Liberals. They’re all waffle and no action.”

“They’re like magicians trying to get you to look somewhere else to cover up their lack of action on the economy of Australia,” Senator Polley added.

“While we wait for the Government to figure out what they’re doing, Labor will continue providing the economic leadership that Malcolm Turnbull promised but has failed to deliver.”
